Elangeni is situated in the stately Trovato Estate, an established part of Cape Town’s fine historical landscape. The graceful accommodation at Elangeni overlooks the historic coach house, a landmark integral to this hillside garden suburb. From there, the area unfolds to include the quaint village of Chelsea Wynberg and the shopping mall mecca that is Cavendish Square. Kirstenbosch Gardens is world famous for its breath-taking beauty and floral biodiversity, and, for sports enthusiasts, golf courses are aplenty whilst the nearby Newlands Cricket and Rugby stadiums provide all the sporting action.

The city and V&A Waterfront are a mere 15 minutes away, so too are the attractions of Table Mountain and Signal Hill. Just over the rise and around the corner and you are upon some of the world’s most pristine beaches; Clifton and Camp’s Bay. Wherever you are, you will be close to excellent restaurants and fresh produce to purchase and prepare at home.

A visit to the wine lands is a must and provides a very pleasant day out. The more adventurous may also wish to enjoy horse-riding and long walks in the mountains. Children are always entertained outdoors and there are safe beaches with warmer water and tidal pools for little ones. Child-minders can be organised by arrangement.

Seasonal whale watching, carnivals and celebrations are amongst the other delights of the Cape Town calendar. There is always something to enjoy.

Cape Town has world class private medical facilities, a sophisticated communications and banking infrastructure, first-class entertainment and a contemporary attitude to service excellence.

Chapman's Peak, one of the most scenic drives in the world. This narrow winding road offers stunning views down into Hout Bay harbor and will take you towards Cape of Good Hope nature reserve. Why not go horse riding on Noordhoek beach, visit the Penguin colony at Boulder's beach or have a look at the naval base in historic Simon's Town along the way!

In the reserve, keep your eyes open for ostriches, baboons and even buck as you make your way down to the tip of the peninsula. Then its time to climb the hill or
take the penicula to the top of the hill to get the most dramatic views of the Indian ocean meeting the Atlantic Ocean.

Table Mountain is Cape Town 's most famous landmark and one of the city's greatest attractions. There are over 100 scenic ways to climb the mountain, which stands at 1086 metres above sea level, but most people take the revolving cable car which whisks you to the top in a just a few minutes. The views in all directions are magnificent and the feeling of being on top of the world is what makes this such a popular destination. It's best to visit on a clear day, though a tablecloth of clouds can descend at any time, flowing over the edge like a breaking wave. Legend has it that the tablecloth is due to an old Afrikaner called Van Hunks who sits on Devil's Peak having a smoking contest with the devil himself; they just keep puffing away and neither ever wins.

The hugely successful Victoria & Alfred Waterfront complex has been developed around older wharves of the scenic Cape Town harbour. It is one of the most popular
places to dine and stroll, day and night, and has the charm of a working harbour with seagulls and fur seals waiting for scraps from fishing boats, and tugs tied next to luxury yachts. The smell of salty sea air mingles with that of lobster and garlic prawns on the magnificent seafood platters served at smart patio tables. It is an excellent example of the worldwide trend to revitalise big city ports and has a vibrant atmosphere visited by locals and
tourists alike, but with prices a little higher than elsewhere. The harbour buildings date back to 1860, when Prince Alfred (Queen Victoria's son) tipped the rock for construction of the breakwater. Original buildings have been renovated and new buildings have been built in the same Victorian style.
